Today, the Lahnwanderweg presents itself particularly varied. The section offers geological and cultural highlights. First, you pass Weilburg Castle with its impressive garden. Kubach Crystal Cave offers a special geological spectacle. It is the only crystal cave in Germany and has, at 30 meters, the highest hall of all German show caves. The animal park, established in 1590 under Prince Karl August, is now used as a wildlife park. The year-round constant 12-degree warm "Große Weiher" near Braunfels hosts unique fauna and flora.
